The 4S type bell housing is designed without the centre ring, not allowing removal of pump half-coupling (Which by rule is keyed permanently to the shaft).
The motor mounting flange is drilled with 4 clearance holes + 4 threaded holes.
The 4S type bell housing is normally used for vertically mounted motor and pump units with pump submerged in the oil tank.
